Best pet-friendly apartments and rentals in Joliet

Who’s eligible: Active listings that allow cats, dogs or both. Ranked by our published method. No listing can pay to appear here or to move up. A “Featured” label means the landlord paid for placement elsewhere on the site; it has no effect on this ranking.
This list fills in as eligible listings are posted.
The method below applies automatically to every new active listing.
How this list works
Every active listing on JolietRent that the landlord marks as allowing cats, dogs, or both is eligible. We score each one with the same formula used on all of our best-rentals lists, described in full on How we rank:
- Rent compared with the area median (50 points). We compare the asking rent with the U.S. Census Bureau's median gross rent for the same town and bedroom count.
- Listed amenities (30 points). Up to ten amenities the landlord lists, such as in-unit laundry, parking or air conditioning.
- Resident reviews (20 points), only when the building has at least three verified reviews. Otherwise the other two parts are rescaled to 100.
Before you sign
Pet policies vary by unit even within one building. Ask the landlord about pet deposits, monthly pet rent, breed or weight limits, and how many pets are allowed, and get the answers in the lease. Assistance animals for people with disabilities are not pets under fair housing law, and pet fees and pet limits don't apply to them.
